Life's Little Strange Sometimes

...isn't it babies?

I had the strangest dream about HTBP. I dreamt he was going to ask his current g/f to marry him and that he asked me to help pick out the ring. Given the gianormous crush HRG had on him, it was an odd dream to have.

I've had the dream twice. Once in late December, once again last nite, so today I sent an e-mail telling him about the dream. He's the one who'd swore he'd never get married again. He was even more adamant about it than I used to be, so I thought he'd find it all rather amusing.

He wrote back that he'd already asked her.

In late December.

So, please tell me why I feel so weird about it. We've both moved on, knowing that the crush, while completely mutual, was nothing more than that. I haven't seen him in ages and ages, so why does it feel like someone just kicked me in the stomach?

See? Life's a little strange sometimes.

Especially in HRG's world.

There's snow in dem dar hills

...and babies it's cold outside! Yes, I do realize that my eastern readers (ok, reader, but I can hope, can't I?) are laughing and shaking their heads. To them, this is damn near bikini weather. To us, well this is Fantasy Island--what do we know about snow and ice and cold? It's not supposed to happen here. Ever.

We know enough to realize that as soon as the roads look all shiny and inviting, every old person in the area MUST get behind the wheel. (actually, it's probably a by-law in at least one municipality, one that's gated by a tweed curtain). They must drive 30 in the passing lane, one foot tickling the gas pedal, the other foot planted firmly on the brake the entire way, and they absolutely must must must ignore all other vehicles, including any and all that use a siren as a means of telling you to GET OUT OF THE WAY.

But I digress.....where was I? Oh yeah. Whining. Below zero is cold, no matter where you are.

It's cold. There are little skating rinks in the parking lot next door. That means it's cold enough to freeze.

Now would be a good time to go to Vegas.

Instead, we're going to Costco.

I love living life on the edge.

A Piece Of Advice

Never ever watch White Noise and The Day After Tomorrow thisclose to a Full Moon.

Unless you want your dreams to be stranger than normal.

Or maybe it's just me.

Static will never sound the same again. Neither will the wind.

Or maybe it's just me.
