Geronimo

Isn't that feeling of falling all over again the most exhilarating, wonderful thing? You walk around with that little smile on your face all day long--the kind of smile that says you know something the rest of world doesn't. When you look at someone and see the future in their eyes and you can't quite seem to catch your breath. Every song on the "oldies" station makes your heart sing. The moment you realize you love your very best friend. That's what makes me semi-mental. All that, and you.

Songs that make me semi-mental:

Still- Lionel Ritchie
When I See You Smile - Bad English
Just Remember I Love You - Firefall
The Moment It Takes - Trooper
Pretty Maids All In A Row - Eagles
Heart Of The Matter - Don Henley
Damn Your Eyes - Etta James
Who's Crying Now - Journey
Faithfully - Journey
I'll Be Okay - Amanda Marshall

Rhetorical Ramblings

Life is funny. In a sad sort of way. Just when you think you've got it all figured out, everything changes. Whether you want it to or not. Sometimes people turn out to be not quite what, or better still, who, you thought they were. They promise they'll move mountains for you, yet when push comes to shove, they'll stub their toes kicking at pebbles. And then whine how it's all your fault. I guess in a manner of speaking, it is. In your heart you know he can't move a goddamned thing, but you still want desperately to believe he would. "If only" become the first two words of every sentence you speak.

What's worse, I wonder, loving the wrong man for all the wrong reasons, or being hopelessly torn between two, loving them both for all the right reasons? The questions advice columnists thrive on. Is it really selfish and self-centered behavior? It's easy to judge it as that until you're in it. Feelings aren't always so cut and dried. What's that line? Oh yeah, "when it comes to matters of the heart, there's nothing a fool won't get used to".

And, is it possible to love two men at the same time, even if it's for different reasons? Is it really love you feel for one, or just a case of the "grass is greener"?

If only you could combine the two into one perfect man. If only.........
